#246B and 246N Brass Valve Stem Cover:
A copy of an original cover with a 1907 patent date. However, this cover is unique in that it will NOT fit a brass stem tube. It has a special adjustable insert inside that is made to use with RUBBER STEM tubes. Simply remove the plastic dust cover on your rubber stem tube and replace it with this authentic looking brass cover. Now you can use less expensive rubber stem tubes and avoid the problems associated with brass stem tubes such as leakage and blowouts due to poor vulcanization between the stem and the tube. Each unit comes finely polished, complete with the adjustable insert to adapt to different stem lengths and a rubber washer to prevent damage to the paint on the felloe or rim.
